What is love?
God has shown His love toward us through His grace (giving us many things we do not deserve, including the free gift of salvation) and His mercy (not giving us many things we do deserve, including turning His back on us and letting us die in our sins).
We show God our love toward Him when we obey Him. When we totally submit to His will for our lives, we begin to find out that what He wants for us is much better than what we think we want. Receiving His blessings are far better than the pleasures we try to get for ourselves.
